Update

I always go way too long before updating the blog, so these are our current family happenings.

Jord: Recruiting season is very much in season! Jord spends his days preparing for the Summer of  2010 by recruiting, training, and perfecting his sales team. We will not know until the beginning of next year where we will go next summer. Jord is meeting with a RD and seeing many results as he adheres to a strict diet of "clean" food and few sweets. He was recently called to be the Gospel Doctrine teacher in our ward and did a FABULOUS job this last Sunday. Although this poor guy is worked ragged, he still finds time to enjoy our furry little friend.

Rach: I recently was accepted into the Bachelor's of Nursing program at WSU. I began my nursing degree at UVU last year, but when UVSC became UVU many negative changes happened in the nursing program. WSU has an amazing nursing program so being accepted in was an enormous blessing. I recently was hired to work at Aspen Ridge Transitional Rehab in Orem, UT. This also is a blessing since it will be great nursing experience without a lot of stress and pressure while I'm in school. As an anniversary gift to myself, I purchased tickets to the John Schmidt concert and I can hardly wait to see him perform (if anyone would like to join us you're more than welcome). We are planning to spend the Christmas holiday in Portland, OR with my family. I spend my days studying (yeah, yeah, I know), grocery shopping for Jord's crazy diet, exercising, crafting, and potty-training our fury little friend... If anyone has any suggestions about this grievous task, I am accepting advice.

Rusty: I recently enrolled Rusty in puppy classes at PetSmart to help teach this little pooch how to behave properly. For some funny reason, he will always take his toys in front of the tv when Jordan is watching football so we are assuming he also is a Bronco's fan. Rusty likes to spend his days playing with toys, learning to "potty" in the toilet, cuddling with mom and dad, and making us laugh.

Weekend in San Diego

We spent the weekend in San Diego, CA to see the Chargers/Eagles game. Amongst all the excitement of a professional football game, we rented a yellow Corvette and saw the San Diego zoo. The weather was pretty nice, so it was a fun weekend!

Our "rental" car... we would have been fine with a Cobalt, but this was much much funner :)

My personal taxi driver...

We stayed at the W hotel in downtown San Diego.

Keep in mind that we had a convertible car for the weekend, so blame that as being the reason why my hair sucked the ENTIRE weekend! Haha.

Of course we visited the zebras....!

He came right up to the window and said hello to us. It was hilarious how close this little guy wanted to get to all the Utahan tourists!

The Randomest Catch-Up Post Ever!!!

I am aware of how horrible I am at updating. I promise to do better. These are the activities that Jord and I have been up to in the last little while...

Jord and I spent the weekend in St. George... of course we had to go golfing. I have
a TERRIBLE swing!
... Jordan has a BEAUTIFUL swing. Not fair.

My Dad came for conference in October. This is my sister Nicki who I lurve!

Boating with Yerald Miller.

Outside of "Phantom of the Opera." Jord and I are not cultured so this was us attempting to be more cultured. Chase, Katie, Cassie, and McKenna Larson joined us... well, we joined them.

I have a secret LOVE for Titanic! There was a Titanic museum in NYC, but admission was $50... ugh, I can do with just having a picture by the advertisement outside.

Jord and I saw "Wicked" on Broadway and LOOOOVED it. Anyone who hasn't seen it needs to go all the way to NYC just to see this amazing Broadway play!

Bowling with the New Jersey North office...

This was the day I was told I had several fractures. It hurt my legs to bowl the correct way, so the backwards approached seemed to hurt less. The funniest thing is that I got a strike from this particular bowl...

Totally unplanned, Chase Larson, Kupp Kupper, and Jord all dressed the same.

Laughing with Lola Davis. We love this wittle girl!

Oh my gosh, oh my gosh, oh my gosh. Jord and I almost lost our dinner laughing at this hilarious little girl... aka, Martha Washington. LOVE you Lola!!!

And More Felt...

I am ADDICTED to felt!

Don't worry about my addiction, I have a couple of job interviews lined up so the felt crafting will slow down, hopefully. Pray for me because jobs are sooooo hard to come by... So much for a nursing shortage, eh?! Haha.

Latest Obsession

Our Lehi ward currently has six different nurseries. SIX!!! On Sunday I made the comment to Jordan that the Guinness Book of World Records should be made aware of the reproductive power of the people in our ward. I left church with the idea to mass produce "Quiet Books" for the all these noisy children to use during Sacrament meeting. I am now obsessed with making them!

My mom collects "Quiet Books" so this is the one I started making for her...

It's way hard to read this, but it says Grandma's House.

Each page is interactive in some way. The beads on Grandma's necklace can be shifted. Our family dog is named Okee so of course I had to include her. Kids can pet Okee's fur and push the tongue in/out.

The cookies have velcro on them. The Oreo pulls apart so kids can stack the three layers themselves. The piano page is to teach kids the note names of the keyboard.

These pages are all I have so far and I can hardly wait to send it to my mom. Just a little plug, felt is cheap and so easy to work with. If you make one I want to see it!

True Story...

Recently I have been training really really hard on the treadmill. As a result, I now walk with a pretty gangster limp because of a stress fracture. Yes, it hurts wicked bad!! I have been wrapping it during the days, especially while at the gym, for the much needed compression to the injured bone. Today at the gym I had the most ridiculous conversation with a man about the injury.

Brace yourselves, this is a true story...

Man: "What's on your leg?"
Me: "An ACE bandage and compression sleeve."
Man: "Why do you wear them?"
Me: "I have a stress fracture so I need the support."
Man: "Wow, I had no idea that emotional stress could cause fractures to the bone. You really should see my psychiatrist, he is phenomenal. Come grab me before you leave so I can give you his number..."

Just a question... what would you have said to that man had that been you? haha.

Crafty Club

I have been very busy gathering many different creative ideas for our craft nights. I have decided that the best way to send news of both the project and the supplies needed is via the blogging sphere. However, it is going to be a separate (and private) blog from my own dedicated solely to announcing the upcoming project. If you have not left comment about your desire to participate and your email address, you will NOT be added to the list. So, get those email addresses to me and we'll be crafting in no time. Love you guys!

Office Sports

For some reason the guys in this office LOVE sports. We spend a lot of our "off" time playing horse with the small Nerf hoop in the office. This particular night we played both basketball and bowling.

The guys come up with the craziest shots when playing Horse.

Some of the bowling gang are hanging out in the background of this picture.

I bowled a 117. I'll take it, I'll take it.

We were having contests to see who could throw it the hardest. Baer got his to 23.5mph. CRAZINESS!! Jord bowled a 162. Also crazy!

Date Night

This will be forever remembered as the first, and only, date that Jord and I will get to go on during the New Jersey North summer. Jord is crazy busy, so getting time alone with him is impossible. We ate at Cheesecake Factory, and although he had to text and answer calls the entire time, we still had fun.

I know what you're wondering Joanna, yes, I had a bite of cheesecake... read your mind, eh?!

Jordan HATES it when I take pictures of him in public. He gets so embarrassed, which makes it even more fun to do.

Special Visit to NY

This visit to New York was so much funner than most because Ty & Stac Williams, Rachel & Kevin Radebaugh, Omar Lopez, and Chase Larson all joined us. They had to ride a bus both ways... Thanks for coming up guys!

How hilarious are New Yorkans, eh? There were people sun bathing everywhere in the middle of Central Park. It was absolutely hysterical to see everyone laying around.

This picture is great because we have no idea who this random guy is. He just really wanted to be in our picture... Haha.
Rach Will, Stac & fetus Williams, and Rach Rad.

These are the only pictures I got because my stupid camera battery died right after this. Of course it wanted to be a brat on the only day we have visitors in the city. Thanks again for coming guys!
